Heart Failure

Congestive Heat Failure

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), occurs when your heart muscle doesn’t pump blood as well as it should. Certain conditions, such as narrowed arteries in your heart (coronary artery disease) or high blood pressure, gradually leave your heart too weak or stiff to fill and pump efficiently.

Lets start with some basic questions to help determine if you may have a diagnosis that allows you to enroll into a Chronic Special Needs Plan.

  1. Have you ever been told by your doctor that you have Heart Failure or Congestive Heart Failure?
  2. D you or have you had problems with fluid in your lungs and swelling in your legs, accompanied by shortness of breath?
  3. Have you been told to daily monitor your weight due to a hear problem?

Enrollment and Special Election Periods

Medicare limits the times of the year than you can enroll into a Medicare Advantage Plan. You are probably aware of the Annual Enrollment Period that runs from October 15 through December 7th of each year. You cannot miss all the commercials on television and radio trying to get you to call one number or another.

Side note: I really believe that having one person to call beats talking to a different person on the phone every time. I make myself available to my customers via phone and in person.

One very special advantage to a Chronic Special Needs Plan is that you may be able to enroll outside of the Annual Enrollment Period. Contact me to find out if you can enroll.
