Cardiovascular Issues

Cardiovascular issues come in different forms. Lets start with some basic questions to help determine if you may have a diagnosis that allows you to enroll into a Chronic Special Needs Plan. Have you ever been told by your doctor that you have:

  1. Atrial Fibrillation also known as A-Fib?
  2. Abnormal Heartbeat?
  3. Angina (Heart pain)?
  4. Coronary Artery Disease?
  5. Poor Circulation in your legs?
  6. Chronic skin ulcers in your legs?
  7. Vein problems in your legs?
  8. Do you have a Pacemaker?
  9. Do you have an Internal Defibrillator?
  10. Have you had Angioplasty (to widen narrowed or obstructed arteries or veins?)
  11. Do you have Stents or a Bypass on your heart or legs?
  12. Have you or do you take take prescribed medications to thin your blood. (Not including over-the-counter aspirin.)

Enrollment and Special Election Periods

Medicare limits the times of the year than you can enroll into a Medicare Advantage Plan. You are probably aware of the Annual Enrollment Period that runs from October 15 through December 7th of each year. You cannot miss all the commercials on television and radio trying to get you to call one number or another.

Side note: I really believe that having one person to call beats talking to a different person on the phone every time. I make myself available to my customers via phone and in person.

One very special advantage to a Chronic Special Needs Plan is that you may be able to enroll outside of the Annual Enrollment Period. Contact me to find out if you can enroll.
