Medicare Advantage Plans
Medicare Advantage Plans are health plans provided by private companies that have contracted with Medicare. To participate in these plans, you must already be enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B. Advantage Plans offer all of the benefits included in Part A and Part B. It’s important to note that these plans can vary by state and county.
There are several types of Medicare Advantage Plans available, including:
Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs),
Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs),
Private Fee-for-Service Plans,
Special Needs Plans, and
Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans.

Please be aware that Medicare requires you to sign a Scope of Appointment (SOA) form before discussing specific plans. This is an extra step that is designed to protect you and limit the salesperson’s discussion to Medicare Health Plans.
